Sue grew up in a small town in upstate New York.  She remembers sitting in her grandmother's kitchen when she was young and learning to sew.  She has always had a sewing machine and has created many items for family and friends over the years.  Sue taught second grade in Truckee for many years and taught her students to hand sew.  After teaching she decided to sell some of her creations at craft fairs and at Truckee Thursday's.  

Sue enjoys looking at and feeling different fabrics.  It's a joy spending time combing through fabrics, ribbons and trims to create aprons, eye pillows, rice wraps, jewelry bags, etc.  Often the creations are made from recycled materials found when traveling or from other projects.

Sewing brings much enjoyment and it's always exciting to discover a new creation to make.  It is a hobby of love.  Sue finds great satisfaction in hearing from folks who have one or more of her pieces and enjoy them.  Folks often order more as gifts for family or friends.  It's gratifying to provide homemade items that are one of a kind.  ENJOY!
